Instructions
  1. Core, peel and slice apples. Place in boiling water for 1 minute.
  2. Boil remaining ingredients until desired thickness creating a syrup. Barely let it reach a full boil.
  3. Fill hot sterilized quart jars alternating apples and syrup until it is almost full. Run a knife down the inside of the jar to remove air bubbles. Add more apples and syrup.
  4. Process in boiling water bath. Put jars in water bath pan or a pan that allows you to put water over the jars about 1inch. Boil about 25 minutes. Remove jars onto towel and let cool at room temperature. Listen for the sealed lids to "pop" indicating that they are sealed tight. Place ring lid on and store in cool dark place.
